The Department of Panchayats, Rural Housing and Rural Development, Gujarat on May 26, 2026, notified regarding the enhanced cess rate for the District Panchayat, Patan.
The Government has increased the cess levied under Section 191(1) of the Gujarat Panchayats Act, 1993, in respect of the District Panchayat, Patan, from 100 paise to 300 paise. The revision has been made pursuant to a resolution passed by the District Panchayat, Patan, seeking enhancement of the cess rate. The revised cess will be applicable retrospectively from August 1, 2025, to July 31, 2030, replacing the earlier rate that was applicable up to July 31, 2015.
